Christmas Play at Webster

God gave us Trent and Emma!

We are so thankful that God gave us two months in North Carolina! We got to spend lots of time with our precious cousins, Trent and Emma!

Ivy took Emma and Hayley on rides in the wagon.

Trent and Ivy made a rabbit trap in Paw's yard!

Hayley pushed Emma in the swing!

Tickle time with Paw!

Hayley and Trent are so much alike!

Ivy and Trent love to put on shows for us! They really are entertaining!

Adoption Day Celebration

Hayley Beth Stewart
December 19th is a VERY special day for our family. It's the anniversary of the day that Hayley legally became a member of our family. I love to celebrate this day for many reasons. Here are just 3 reasons I love December 19th---Hayley's adoption day:
#1 It is so good for our family to look back and remember how God was so faithful to us in giving us sweet Hayley. #2 Brent usually doesn't "get in to" parties/celebrations but he Loves to celebrate Hayley's adoption day! #3 It always makes me rejoice in my own adoption into God's family.

December 19th, 2013

We started the day with muffins and juice.
Hayley helping me make muffins!

Alicia always writes Hayley the sweetest letter and gives her a doll on her adoption day.

We are thankful that Emma Kate and Alicia came to celebrate with us.

Then we took a nap and went to the bounce house:
Hayley was SO excited!

Even Aunt Sharon came down the slide!
We all climbed up together!
The slide was so fun!

Daddy jumped and played until his tummy hurt!

Nana watches the kiddos bounce! Hayley was so thirsty!!!

After the bounce house we went out to eat at Fat Buddies--a BBQ place in Waynesville:
Papaw and Memaw went to eat with us. Memaw brought Hayley CUPCAKES!!!

We love our Aunt Share-Share! Thanks for the adoption day outfit!

Hayley loved her Fuzzy Snowman on "my" Shirt!"

Thank you God for blessing our family with Hayley!!

Music, Art and History.....

At CC this week, Ivy was introduced to the tin whistle. It is a lot like the recorder I used to teach in public school.

Trying to get those finger holes covered!

In art this week, we made sun prints.

I'm so thankful for Ivy's teacher at CC. She is a Godly woman who has such a sweet spirit. She is so gentle and encouraging with the kids, so energetic, so loving and she has beautiful voice. She has 4 daughters. Her husband is finishing his PhD at the seminary. Their family lived in China before coming here.

Working on the timeline!
A few nights ago, Ivy and her daddy were reading a biography about Martin Luther the protestant reformer. I was in the kitchen working on homeschool plans. She came running into the kitchen and said mommy Martin Luther really did nail that paper to the door. She proceeded to sing her history sentence that we learned a few weeks ago. It was so fun for me to see that God is helping her make connections about the things that we are learning.

Pumpkin Time!

Ivy and daddy went on a date last week. They went to the used book store, had frozen yogurt and came home with this pumpkin.

Drawing the face on the pumpkin.

Daddy is carving the pumpkin

Hayley said, "mommy, seeds in there!"

Ivy dug all the seeds out and later we roasted them. Yummy!

AND....Ivy took a picture of mommy and daddy with the famous pumpkin!......
